After Penelope the movie, I headed over to the Chanel Boutique for the Volver afterparty with Penelope Cruz and Pedro Almodovar. I’m telling you – Volver is getting a TON of buzz…and Penelope is getting even more of it for what’s being called the performance of her career, quite possibly a lock for a nod. What is it about actresses and the 2 year post-Cruise Oscar ride? Pene is beautiful with lovely breasts and a lovely, lovely NORMAL non-Hollywood body… but I didn’t see much of her. She came late, seemed like she had something grumpy shoved up her ass, she didn’t do press, and she was constantly surrounded. Which is just as well. More parties on the way…
