I just saw these shots of Victoria Beckham in our photo agency and my first thought was… are these old? Like from the 2000s? They are not old. They are from this morning, October 13, 2021, in New York, as she’s leaving her hotel. But I can’t be the only person getting a flashback vibe from this look, right?
The VB we know now is more trousers and A-line skirts, structure and layers, and simple hair. That’s not to say she doesn’t still do a body-con dress once in a while, but even when she’s in body-con clothes, the tone to her looks are much more understated, not quite as extra as the style we were accustomed to seeing from her over a decade ago. So it feels at once fresh and familiar to see her in a bright red-orange tight one-shoulder dress with babe-waves in her hair and the bronzed skin. Like 2005 VB came out for a strut. Or maybe it’s Miami VB 2021. Because, of course, the Beckhams spend their time now in London and Miami, where David is co-owner of Inter Miami CF. And this is very Miami energy. I wonder how much Miami Posh we’ll be seeing – or if she’s just coming out for a quick spin and not a regular one.
