I really liked what Phoebe Waller-Bridge wore at the SAGs last night. Because I like that she tried it. That she was open to it. Some of her looks, to me, have been on the conservative side – and if you’ve watched Fleabag, you know this is not exactly a narrow mind. But many of her red carpet choices have been pretty safe. That’s not to say that the tube top with the sparkly cover last night was dangerous, exactly. But it was different. It was unexpected. And I hope to see more of this going forward. Were you surprised by Renee Zellweger shouting out Tom Cruise last night at the SAGs? “You complete me!” was not uttered. But I’m sure it popped into many minds immediately afterwards. What popped into my mind was… CUT AWAY TO NICOLE KIDMAN!?! God, why can’t a proper gossip be in the control room for these shows? (Dlisted)

Have you watched the Aaron Hernandez docuseries on Netflix yet? I was into the podcast, Gladiator, a couple of years ago. It’s not just about Aaron Hernandez but about Football Inc, about a culture that cares about the body and not the person. The Netflix series, so far, is a little different. This is a deep dive into his life, and the influences that shaped in. After one episode, one of those negative influence is toxic masculinity. And, you know, there’s none of that in professional sports, right? (Pajiba)

For some reason, people still want to hear from Thomas Markle. While Meghan’s ma, Doria Ragland, has resolutely supported her daughter, her father continues to talk to whoever will talk to him. This time he says that the Sussexes are “cheapening” the monarchy. Well, that’s rich. (Cele|bitchy)

These days, there’s an award show every weekend. Next up: the Grammys this coming Sunday. So it’s time to review the Grammys greatest snubs of all time. (Vulture)
