Whitney Houston showed up with daughter Bobbi Kristina last night in London for Fashion Rocks. By all accounts she looked trim and enthusiastic and not stoned.

This is very good news.

After over a decade of debauchery with Bobby Brown and then stumbling post split into her own drug-addled drama, Whitney finally, hopefully, seems in control of her life.

In many ways, her story mirrors Britney. Early fame, an image created for her, an image foreign to her true self, and then hardcore rebellion with disastrous consequences. Will it be 10 years before Britney bounces back…if ever?
