Us Weekly started it all last week with their exclusive about Noah Cyrus, her mother Tish Cyrus, and Tish’s husband, Dominic Purcell. A source told the magazine that Noah and Dominic were actually dealing with each other before Tish stepped in and “stole” him from her daughter. Dominic is 54, 30 years older than Noah who is currently 24.
Tish and Dominic have been together since the summer of 2022 so, presumably, if he was in a situationship with Noah around then, she would have been about 22 or so… ?
Other outlets have now added to Us Weekly’s initial reporting. PEOPLE reported yesterday that Miley had no idea there was so much mess in the background, and that she’s recently confronted her mother about all the recent revelations, with TMZ saying that while she finds all of it really “strange” , she’s not about to cut ties with Tish the way her sister has.
But why is all of this coming out now? And who’s behind it?
Back in February, Tish was on the Call Her Daddy podcast talking about her relationship with Dominic, explaining that she’d had a crush on him for a long time and he ended up sliding into her DMs years ago, in 2016, but that she only checked him back after she and Billy Ray broke up for good, in 2022.
That must have not gone over too well with Noah, who was absent from the wedding, because three weeks later, Us Weekly somehow gets this exclusive… and just as Noah’s making her way to Paris for Fashion Week where she’s attended several shows.
So just as she’s fronting fashion campaigns for several brands that, by the way, are not as well known as the major fashion houses, a scandal is blowing up that involves her accusing her mother of moving in on her lover.
Coincidence or conspiracy?
That’s not to say that it all didn’t go down the way it’s being described, with Noah getting love-shafted by her own mother, it’s just that the timing of all of this coming to light is … curious. And, sure, I mean if that really is the case, by all means, use everything to your advantage, even the sh-tty parts of your life. Lemons into lemonade, as they say.
But also, remember, no one was sniffing around about this – not when Tish and Dominic first started dating and not even right after their wedding, when it was obvious some sh-t was happening behind the scenes given the absence of two of her children.
