PEOPLE reported yesterday that Ben Affleck spent Christmas with Jennifer Garner and their children in LA. Birdie, the dog, was probably there too. It’s important that we know that because the following day, Boxing Day, yesterday, Ben was seen in Malibu, after having dinner with Lindsay Shookus at Nobu. 

Lindsay, as you know, is based in New York with her ex-husband and son. Perhaps she flew in from NY to LA that morning so that she and Ben could spend some holiday time together? What happens at New Year’s? Would it be Ben and Lindsay’s first NYE together… officially? We’ve been told that they only started dating earlier this year. We know that they actually started dealing with each other about two years ago. Since that was probably undercover, it’s possible that they’ve never been able to ring in the new year in the same place. I wonder what the luck gods will say about Ben beginning his 2018 with Lindsay by his side. As we’ve seen, 2017 hasn’t exactly been a high point for Ben Affleck. As is often the case with Ben Affleck, he gets in his own way. And when he gets in his own way, he also f-cks it up for the people he loves. How Lindsay was introduced to the public as his proper girlfriend was not ideal. Perhaps 2018 will be a fresh start. 

You know what I’m curious about? In the past, Ben and Jennifer would spend holidays here and there with Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen. Obviously the four got on well, even after this happened: 

If Ben and Tom are still friends, and Ben’s bonafide is now Lindsay, will Ben and Lindsay ever holiday with Tom and Gisele? Can you imagine Gisele with Lindsay?
