Jennifer Lopez was in Washington DC this weekend performing at World Pride 2025. Two weeks ago she hosted the American Music Awards, she’ll be heading out on tour soon, and now this set this weekend… JLo’s life right now is rehearsals. And probably fittings.
Curious to see if any of the outfits she wore at the AMAs and at World Pride will show up on the tour. Probably not – I mean the concert wardrobes have become a huge part of pop concerts. The way the Hive talks about Beyoncé’s new looks for certain songs every time she’s touring is a major conversation point. Swifties were like this for Taylor too. I am in no way comparing JLo to those two in terms of the magnitude of those tours; all I mean is that for JLo, the clothes are part of the visual experience as well.

In other JLo news, as Sarah wrote last week, the first trailer for Kiss of the Spider Woman was released the other day set to her vocals and I know it’s a studio recording but she sounds good. And by good I mean it’s not horrible. Not trying to be a hater but the girl is not a legend for her voice. She is, however, a legend for the work ethic, and for never giving up. And if they’re building the promotion around her singing and dancing already and it’s not even summer yet, imagine how hard she’s going to go in the fall when this movie comes out. Which, naturally, will be accompanied by inevitable backlash. Where’s that energy been for JLeto?
