Taylor Swift hasn’t been to a football game in a few weeks so maybe she put something extra into her look last night when Kansas City hosted New Orleans in KC, showing up in plaid Vivienne Westwood and sparkle freckles. If plaid had a season, it would be fall. And, as we know, Taylor is an autumn girl, so I like this on her although, as usual, I wish she’d be a little more adventurous with her footwear. The high boots are kinda boring and I would have swapped them out with a pair of socks and a mary jane, like these that I was eyeing from Etro that I waited too long for and now they’re out of my size, f-ck!

Anyway, the freckle sparkles are cute on her, but let’s not pretend like she invented them because this is what the Swifties would have you believe, LOL. The girls have been out here freckle-sparkling for a minute now and they do look great on Taylor. But you know what would have made the makeup even better? A matte lip.

Taylor was in the suite for the game with her dad, Scott. Ed Kelce was there too and Travis came up to see them after the game. There’s video of TNT kissing that’s going viral and bringing the squees.

Now it’s a bye week for KC which means, if last year was any indication, could TNT be taking their show to New York? It’s been a while. And Taylor goes back on tour after that. Which reminds me…

In just over a month she’ll be taking over Toronto for six shows and our city is going to be mayhem, even more mayhem than usual. Just a heads up for those of you coming here to see her – Toronto is a sh-t show. Our traffic situation makes headlines around the world regularly because it’s so embarrassingly bad. So wherever you’re staying – and I know you’re staying because the hotel rates for the time that Taylor will be in town is bonkers – and wherever you’re going, leave yourself extra time and walk and public transit if you can because it’s an actual mess.

On the plus side, since I do take public transit, I wonder if they’ll be adding extra service to accommodate all the people who’ll be flooding the city. They regularly make announcements, like during baseball season or when the Canadian National Exhibition is open, that they’ve extended the schedule. I can’t wait for that first announcement on the GO Train alerting passengers that for the week that Taylor Swift takes over Toronto, trains will be running more frequently and later into the night. She’s now the richest female musician of all time – and this is the Taylor Swift Effect, as other cities have experienced, it’s literally an economy boost.
