The marquee auction item at the Covenant House Vancouver annual Night Of New Beginnings gala (hosted by me!) in November was a prize donated by Ryan Reynolds that included two exclusive tickets to the North American premiere of Safe House, in Hollywood, with access to the after-party, a night’s hotel stay, and of course the opportunity to spend a little time with Ryan himself.

Bridget Marsden and Dr Leslie Wong were the winning bidders. Here they are with Ryan at the event. All proceeds that night funded programs at Covenant House Vancouver in support of homeless and at-risk youth struggling to rebuild their lives. In other Ryan news, Page Six reports that he spent Easter weekend in New York with Blake Lively’s family. He was already with them at Thanksgiving and part of Christmas. And she knows his folks well too. How long before this becomes permanent? It will kill Scarlett Johansson who will front like she doesn’t notice but we know. We all know. Men always remarry quicker than women. I can’t remember - why is this again?
