Katy Perry may have resolved her war with Taylor Swift but, supposedly, she’s in another battle now with Rihanna. Even though they posed together at the Met Gala, that was strictly a photo opportunity as they didn’t hang out at the event. I don’t know if I buy it though. Not only because of the source (The Sun in the UK) but also because… what’s there to fight about between these two, really? Like to warrant a full-blown fracture? Like, sure, perhaps they aren’t as close as they used to be. But there’s often an ebb and flow to celebrity friendships. Does that mean it’s always going to be a throwdown? I’d like to think that Rihanna doesn’t have the time to bother with being mad at Katy Perry, for whatever reason. (Dlisted)
Meghan Markle will be expected to learn a lot of etiquette when she becomes a royal. Like who she has to curtsey to. There, that’s a stupid f-cking word: “curtsey”. It sounds stupid and therefore it looks stupid when you do it. What would it take to have the curtsy removed from royal protocol? Like does there have to be an edict? LOOOOOOOVE this red suit on Carey Mulligan. Because it’s not just a red suit – it’s a red suit with white piping. The white piping is what makes it. And the shoes are white piped too. I’m trying to decide, however, if I would have gone with the black tank underneath. Not that it doesn’t work, because it does, since there’s a black trim along the edges too. Did you hear about how someone live-tweeted watching Amy Schumer’s I Feel Pretty while sitting behind Greta Gerwig in the theatre? Greta Gerwig is the person at the movies who talks out loud. So she’s the person who would get shushed. That said, the theatre was apparently pretty empty. Maybe she wouldn’t have been reacting this way if there were more people? Or…maybe… um…it was the movie. Jennifer Lopez was Duana’s best dressed at the Met Gala. And the Balmain dress, custom of course, was indeed exquisite. If you have the money, it can be yours. And… well… you’re about to call me crazy but… it’s not that much, all things considered. I’m not saying it’s affordable. Of course it’s not affordable. What I’m saying is that in context, considering how much these dresses for these events can cost – Rachel McAdams’s Oscar dress two years ago was $30,000 and that was cheaper than Charlotte Rampling’s which was estimated to cost $125,000. So JLo’s at the Met Gala? I’m telling you, it’s a lot cheaper. And much more memorable. (TMZ)
