Jennifer Aniston’s happiest day

I mean, the cover of the NY Post today:
I laughed. It’s funny. It’s so f-cking bitchy which is probably why I laughed. Because it’s an asshole thing to laugh at, I guess. But still. Jennifer Aniston became a THING yesterday when Brange announced the divorce. So much so that there have been several think-pieces about why this shouldn’t be about Jennifer Aniston – like this one.
That triangle though, it’s a drug. Gossip has been addicted to the triangle for 12 years. So it’s not like everyone’s going to stop taking hits from the triangle now that Brange are done. Not when Jennifer Aniston sources are telling US Weekly that her reaction to the news was to tell a friend:
“Yeah, that’s karma for you!”
And apparently she knew it would go down this way:
“She always got the sense that something would happen with them eventually,” the insider tells Us, noting that she did believe Pitt loved the Oscar-winning actress. “She didn’t feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He’s a pretty simple guy.”
Should we really stop making this about Jennifer Aniston when she’s throwing so much shade? Did she just call him stupid?
No, no, no. She’s NICE, remember? She doesn’t play these petty games! And just to make sure you know that, her source confirms to US that while Jen “admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split,” she also “never wanted this for them or wished this on them.”
I’m a petty f-ck so if I would be all over this, smug as sh-t. The problem, though, is that throwing a party for Jennifer Aniston now that Brange is broken, well, once again associates her with Brange. It once again reminds us that she was dumped by Brad for Angelina and even though Angelina just dumped Brad, Jen’s still the Original Dumped. And then to be on the cover of a New York newspaper, implying that she spent last night dancing around her living room in her pyjamas is kind of… well… is it actually good for the Jennifer Aniston brand?
