Many of you are mad at me about this article from yesterday about Colin Firth’s hideous American accent in the new trailer for Main Street. Well, it turns out this moment was foretold a few years ago on Saturday Night Live. Thanks to Kristy and Lindsay for the reminder. Like, it was meant to be jokes but, given what we saw in Main Street, maybe that wasn’t really that far off.

Well at least it’s funny. At least the quiver-killing is alleviated, a little, by some laughter.

Also, this was just an excuse to tell you that Colin and Cameron Diaz are NOT the subjects of Three Weeks & a Friend’s Couch Part 1. That’s a really good guess though.
