Amanda Seyfried covers the new issue of ELLE. She’s currently promoting Red Riding Hood. The premiere was last night. As you know, given that she’s dating that dickhead Ryan Phillippe, this is not the brightest girl. She has demonstrated as much in previous interviews. This time is no different, which is good news for us. Because her revelations are awesome.

First, let’s get Phillippe out of the way. She confirms they’re together:

“Um, yeah. I’ve been ‘seen’ with him.”

Then, her on/off relationship with Dominic Cooper:

“[It is] one of the easiest things in the world. You’re both open. You’re put in a situation where you have to make out with each other. It’s easy for things to get carried away. I was just kind of foolishly thinking that (he and his girlfriend at the time) were done and Dom and I were involved. But we weren’t really as involved as I thought. So I got my heart broken pretty hard. And then (we were together but) it took a long time for us to break up again. After that, it’s really hard to open myself up to a new person. Really hard.”

But the BEST, out of the blue, she confirms that she was dealing with Alexander Skarsgard:

“We dated. He’s superfunny, but I was too involved with Dom.”

Such a simple confession. But with so much smut inadvertently embedded. Because this would mean then that she could not pursue anything more with Skarsgard because she chose Cooper. In doing so it also means that Bosworth, who gets fewer opportunities and certainly doesn’t have the script access of Seyfried, was actually a second option for Alex, the 1st runner up who only gets to wear the crown if the winner for some reason is unable to fulfill her duties. And Amanda Seyfried just meangirled that information into public consumption. Dumb people can be so unintentionally generous.

When you think about it though, the two couples are seriously, seriously mismatched, at least professionally. I mean, Seyfried and Skarsgard are rising. It works. And Bosworth and Phillippe…well… how is it that those two losers haven’t found each other yet?
