In the last few years, we have seen several gender-swapped remakes of movies, and the latest is The Hustle, starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson. It’s a gender-swapped version of Bedtime Story (the 1964 original starring David Niven and Marlon Brando), and the more famous Michael Caine-Steve Martin comedy, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Full Story

People Magazine

Anne Hathaway covers the new issue of PEOPLE as part of her promotion for Serenity which Sarah reviewed earlier this week and in a f-cked up way, it might actually be kind of her favourite movie of year? That might be hyperbole but she didn’t hate it, not at all. Full Story

Serenity is absolutely INSANE

Sarah Posted by Sarah at January 29, 2019 20:47:05 January 29, 2019 20:47:05

Oh boy, is this one of the craziest movies I’ve seen in recent memory. I mean, we’re talking Book of Henry levels of insane. There will be spoilers, because to fully appreciate how bugf-ck bonkers Serenity is, you have to know the twist. It is almost indescribable, but I am going to try because Serenity is not just a movie, it is an EXPERIENCE. Full Story

Anne Hathaway is currently promoting Serenity, in theatres January 25, co-starring Matthew McConaughey. The film was originally supposed to be out last September. Then it got pushed to October. And now it lives in January, not usually a good time for movie releases. The industry is trying to change that and there have been some successes. Full Story

Anne Hathaway is responsible for my first entertainment mirage of 2019, something that seems too good to be real and news that made me do a few double-takes. Variety reports she’s joined the cast of Todd Haynes’s upcoming legal drama about the DuPont chemical scandal, opposite Mark Ruffalo. Full Story

At post time, the Academy has still not yet announced a replacement for Kevin Hart as the host of the Oscars. There are rumours that they may decide to go with no host for the Oscars. This is, apparently, not a job that anyone wants. Or is it that no one that they want wants the job? How deep is their list? How creative is their list of possible hosts? Duana and discuss the work of hosting the Oscars and we take the opportunity to sh-t on the people who did sh-t work when they were hosting the Oscars. Full Story

Hugh Jackman received the Hollywood Actor Award at the Hollywood Film Awards last night for his performance in Jason Reitman’s The Front Runner which doesn’t come out until November 21. Like I said, this is a bizarre event on the awards circuit but it’s meant to position Oscar campaigns and set up strategies. Full Story

What comes to mind when you see Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried together? For me it’s Les Miserables, Fantine and Cosette. And then, where fashion is concerned, well, it’s the Oscars, isn’t it?  Anne Hathaway won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance as Fantine in a pink Prada dress that, you remember, was not the first choice of the night. Full Story
