Was watching TV the other night and saw the trailer for How To Be Single, starring Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Leslie Mann, and Alison Brie. This is what I’ve been able to put together from the preview:
Dakota just broke up and her friend, Rebel, is encouraging her to thrive at being single. I agree with this in principle. Because there are too many movies about how much it sucks to be single. So if this movie is about how much fun single really is – for women as it is for men – OK, I’m open to listening. Because while I am happily married, I was also very, very happily single. And I wish I was single more often.
My other thought during the trailer?
Oh. OK. So Dakota Johnson is taking over the rom-com from Kate Hudson? Dakota’s the millennial Andie Anderson? It’s almost like they kept it in the family.
If Dakota’s the millennial Andie Anderson though, who’s the millennial Matthew McConaughey?
