Production on the new Bridget Jones movie, Bridget Jones’s Baby, started a couple of weeks ago in London. The film will NOT be based on the third book in the series but rather on Helen Fielding’s columns. She also worked on the screenplay. Hugh Grant’s Daniel Cleaver is not returning. But Patrick Dempsey has been cast in an unspecified role. Given that Patrick is handsome and famous, he’s obviously been brought in to replace Hugh’s role in the love triangle.
I didn’t think I needed another installment of Bridget Jones. But you know what? They’ve just released the first promotional photo. And…
She got me.
This is why she was/is so effective in this role. Look at those eyes, the warmth in those eyes. The warmth in this entire picture, the sun coming in behind her. You can’t help but be on her side, on Bridget’s side. I think I miss her. Or I’m nostalgic. Is that the same thing?
Obviously I’m seeing this movie.
