Gwyneth Paltrow hosted amfAR’s Inspiration Gala last night in LA honouring Ryan Murphy. As you know, G and Ryan are close. He’ll be pitching a show with her called One Hit Wonders later on this year. This isn’t the first time G’s hosted an event for amfAR though. She hosted one in Hong Kong earlier this year – click here for a refresher. She hosted this same gala last year for Tom Ford – click here for a refresher. Obviously it’s because she’s friends with everyone. But also… she seems to be taking on the role. Interestingly enough, amfAR events over the last 15 or so years have always featured Sharon Stone, and Sharon was there last night too. amfAR is why Sharon is always in Cannes. I wonder then…

It’s definitely on brand with her title as LifeStyle Entrepreneur. Gwyneth Paltrow, Hollywood’s Best Host. Hollywood’s Most Popular Host. Which is why people like Kevin Huvane, one of the biggest power players at CAA, is leaning over to say hello, even though she’s repped by another agency. Ryan Murphy, you’ll note, is with CAA. This friendship/workship she’s built with him then might be one of the smartest moves of her career.
