As mentioned in today’s open, Gwyneth Paltrow is currently ranked #4 on the Forbes list of highest paid actresses behind Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jennifer Aniston, ahead of Angelina Jolie. Of the 10 women who’ve been named, Bullock is the oldest in first place at 50 years old. Four out of ten are over 40. Two are 39. Two are in their 30s this year. And two are in their 20s. Is that an even distribution or no? What do you think?

As for Gwyneth, she’s been talking about her anti-aging routine. G uses the Thermage laser treatment. This is how she describes it:

"It's non-invasive but it's quite painful, like having your face smacked with a rubber band that has an electric shock in it. But it works."

Thermage is supposed to tighten skin on the top level by stimulating collagen below the surface. And to do a full face can run you over $5,000. So you have to eat the pain and pay out your ass.

I’ve never tried Thermage. Can’t afford it. Besides… as I’ve told you repeatedly… I use something better. TIFF begins in a month. Which means I’m getting my face in shape during the next couple of weeks in preparation for the festival.

Trust me, you don’t need a $5,000 facial. What you need is the Micro-Cold Gel Laser double blast at Lorinda Zimmerman’s W Skin Care. Micro to clean up your pores. Cold Gel Laser is non-invasive, like Gwyneth’s service, but it doesn’t hurt. No slapping in the face. No zapping. Instead, the cold gel laser boosts the production of collagen that’s a natural lift to your skin. This is the same tool they use on people who are rehabbing from injury. It helps the muscle heal itself. So imagine that. On your face. Helping your face heal itself naturally and with no down time. I’ve left Lorinda’s clinic and gone straight on camera without a break. The best part is that it improves over time. So your skin actually looks BETTER three weeks after you’ve seen her.

As for the cost? Depending on your exact combination of service and whether or not you package up your visits, it can average out to $200 - $250 a visit. So, compared to what Gwyneth does, you can throw in an airline ticket to Toronto or Vancouver, see Lorinda for 5 days straight and still have money left over…which, actually, is what many film and television actors have been doing. Flying from LA to Toronto or Vancouver just to get under Lorinda’s laser so that they can be fresh for their new projects. I could never understand why Halle Berry was always showing up in Vancouver for no reason. And then, after I started seeing Lorinda, it all made sense.

Click here for more information on Lorinda Zimmerman and W Skin Care. There are clinics in Toronto and Vancouver. And, again, no, I have no vested interest in her business. I use my credit card there just like everyone else. The only reason why I keep punching you in the face with this is because I want you to know that you don’t have to Botox or get fillers or have elastic bands smacked on your cheeks to have really great skin.
