A couple of weeks ago, In Touch reported that Johnny Depp was spotted sneaking out of Ashley Olsen’s apartment in NYC on February 27th after having spent the night there. Click here for a refresher. Since it’s In Touch, and therefore salt-grainy, that story came and went pretty quickly.

Today the NY Daily News published an item about Ashley Olsen and Jared Leto. The two were apparently all over each over at the Polo Lounge on Sunday. He played with her hair, stroked her arm, and at one point she put her head in his lap.

I wanted to write about this so I started looking for some photos of Jared and I came across these, taken on March 21, showing Jared in Beverly Hills, described by the photo agency to resemble Johnny Depp.

Was it Jared then who was leaving Ashley’s apartment in February but mistaken to be Johnny? If so, In Touch Weekly is f-cking around with a pretty serious misidentification. I mean, for Johnny, I wonder if it’s almost worse being confused with Jared Leto than it is being erroneously linked to Ashley Olsen.
