Five years ago today, Heath Ledger was found dead in New York after accidentally overdosing on prescription medication. He is survived by his daughter Matilda. Oh, and Lindsay Lohan. Here’s what she tweeted this morning:
“rip HL forever in mine and "matty's" heart (s) xxL”
Right. Because Michelle Williams lets Lindsay Lohan close enough to Matilda that they’re on a “Matty” name basis? Because Lindsay Lohan is the authority on “Matty’s” heart? Please.
Famewhoring off a dead person is reprehensible. Famewhoring off a dead person AND his young child...?
It’s sick. It’s disgusting. It’s so totally Lohan.
And as I always say, you can clean that sh-t up, you can rationalise it all you want, but you’ll never be able to justify the character, the character of a person who piggybacks off the departed and in turn disrespects the grieving, in service of self-glorification.
She wasn’t remembering Heath Ledger here.
What she was doing was BOASTING about having known him.
You can’t fix that. Nothing can fix that.
