Miley Cyrus was seen earlier this week wearing a ring that looks very similar to the engagement ring that Liam Hemsworth gave her. Click here for a refresher. Moving trucks were then seen unloading some of her sh-t outside his place – click here to see that. PEOPLE reported exclusively yesterday that Miley and Liam are indeed definitely officially 100% back together. And that while her wearing the ring doesn’t mean there’s a wedding being planned, it does signify that they’re taking this reconciliation very seriously.
“Miley is where she has wanted to be for the past two years. Back with Liam and very happy," a source close to Cyrus tells PEOPLE. "Miley never wanted to split. Things just got so bad that they really needed the break."
"Now reunited, Miley seems ecstatic," continues the source. "She loves her life and is excited about the future. She always loved her engagement ring and was very proud of it." But are they headed down the aisle?
“There is no date,” says the source. “But they are back together and very happy.”
Why has all the coverage on this been about how she’s returned to where she wants to be and how she never wanted to split and how happy she is now and how he never gave up on her but had to step away to let her grow? It makes him look real good for “taking her back” and it makes her look real desperate for waiting around until he decided she was worth it. Which tells you where these sources are probably aligned. After all, it’s not like Miley needs the publicity.
And it’s not like I need to be sold on this situation. I’m all about this situation, and the imagining of this situation, specifically the pervy kind of imagining of the situation. So it’s sh-tty that they’re making it gross, positioning one side of the relationship as some beneficent prince charming and the other like a second class citizen. Why can’t it be a different storyline? Disney good girl goes raunchy, breaks up with the guy, stays raunchy, and the guy comes back. Works way better with how I picture them f-cking the sh-t out of each other, dirty talking the sh-t out of each other. He looks like a great dirty talker, doesn’t he?
