Imagine Jurassic World, except instead of one giant mutant dinosaur there are three giant mutant animal hybrids, and instead of that lone dino-monster terrorizing a theme park the three mutant animals are terrorizing Chicago, and also imagine if Jurassic World was both dumber and more fun—that’s Rampage. Full Story

The other night I told someone how, years ago, I was convinced I hated this show. I yelled at the TV, talked sh*t about it to anyone who would listen. In fact, my roommate would leave the room while I got all worked up about it—which meant I was sitting there watching it alone. Which is how I realized, one day, like the end of a romcom, that I didn’t hate the show—I kind of loved it. Full Story

Have you seen Moonlight yet? Moonlight is challenging La La Land for Best Picture. It’s an underdog though, especially since La La Land just took the Directors Guild and the Producers Guild award before that. There is, however, some backlash about La La Land. I liked La La Land. Sarah Posted by Sarah at December 22, 2016 16:44:39 December 22, 2016 16:44:39

SPOILERS because this movie is INSANE Based on the trailers, you probably think Collateral Beauty, aka Will Smith’s holiday movie, is some kind of twenty-first century It’s A  Wonderful Life, where the universe conspires to convince a sad schmuck that he’s better off being a sad schmuck, and he should learn to appreciate the little things that go with being a sad schmuck, like pleasant memories and warm air sometimes. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Moonlight, the second film from writer/director Barry Jenkins, poses a lot of questions about race, class, identity, sexuality, masculinity, what it means to be black in America, to be gay in America, to be black and gay in America, and whether or not we’re ready to admit that Boyhood was sh*t Full Story

Southpaw may look like a rental, but you should see it in theatres. Yes, it relies way too heavily on clichés, but seeing Jake Gyllenhaal transform into Billy Hope is worth the price of admission. It’s joy to see Rachel McAdams in this sexy, supportive part, too. But this is a role only Jake could play. Full Story
