Hi Sasha, I'm the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding in September (beach front, early evening),  and we need help finding non-hideous bridesmaids dresses. Here is the challenge: navy, cocktail length, cannot be strapless. it's really hard to find a regular dress that comes in variety of sizes.  Thanks! S.

How and why it’s a NO to strapless I don’t understand, but it’s all good because I’ve worked around it and found a fashion lineup that will hopefully make every bridesmaid happy.

Navy isn’t the poppiest of colors, but a way to make it less boring is by adding interest with a fabric like lace.  It’s formal and flirty all at the same time so check out my picks here, and here and here.

J Crew is such a great place to hit up for bridesmaid dresses.  Not only do they have an infinite amount of pretty dresses, they also have a great range of sizing.  Get clicking here, and here, and here

I know you don’t want to outshine the bride but a little sparkle never hurt anyone so check out this gorgeous Kay Unger dress. Super flattering silhouette and for the love of god, it has pockets. Perfect.

How formal is this wedding? If it’s bordering on black tie then this David Meister is the one to go with. Digging the asymmetrical neckline, the pencil cut and that beaded embellishment on the hip adds the right amount of flash.

Finally, I love a dress with some pleating action and I’ve whittled down my standouts here, and here, and here and the best of the best here.

Thanks for writing in and let me know which one you guys end up picking! xx
