February, it has to be one of my favourite months. The dark days of January are finally behind us, our resolutions are long forgotten and we are living life again, inspired and excited for spring. This is usually when I update my running and exercise wardrobe, adding a few key pieces to inspire me to get training for my spring and summer races, which will be here before I know it. Here are a few of my favourite pieces for 2015.

The Gap. I used to think it was just denim, cotton and cute baby clothes that hung on the racks at the Gap, but I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I discovered GapFit. It is fantastic! They have everything from cute, cropped yoga pants to running singlets to workout tights, all of which are reasonably priced. I am loving the diversity in workout wear these days and definitely have added of few of the GapFit pieces into my workout wardrobe.

Running shoes. I like to think my collection of running shoes compares to most women’s collection of stilettos and booties. I rely on my sneakers to accessorize my daily work wardrobe as well as carry me over hundreds of miles during marathon training season. The other day I fell in love with these shoes, a New Balance light weight, and low profile running shoe with just a little bit of extra support to help get you through the longer distances. I have been living in runners for 15 years and these are the best ones I have laced up yet.

Trainers. If you’re not a runner, and just like to hit the gym, these Nike Zoom Fit Agility trainers are a must. I teach all of my classes in them as well as do my own cross training in them, and I have a special pair specifically for work. The cushion in these shoes guarantees a soft landing every time you put for foot down and the sock-like insole snugs the foot just perfectly to make sure you are supported as much as possible. Bonus, they are adorable.

Tights. This season it is all about wild tights and in my mind, the wilder and brighter the better. My favourites at the moment are these tights by Nike, but I actually am in love with all of their tights right now. The bright colours, wild graphics, and geometric shapes that cover Nike’s tights speak right to my heart. I have a feeling that my tight collection is only going to continue to grow. And dress up your post workout look when running errands by throwing on this great cropped jacket, also by Nike, and one of my favs.

I am a big believer that feeling good in your workout clothes helps guarantee a great workout, so grab a few new pieces and get inspired!
