I wasn’t feeling it until Inception, and he was great in Inception. And my friend Caleigh interviewed him on the junket, said he was pure sex. He’s a beast for sure that Tom Hardy but now, now he’s a beast who might make it on the Five, especially since he’s so refreshingly candid, and I mean real candid, and not Hollywood candid, like the bullsh-t you read from most celebrity interviews.

How candid?

Well, in a new interview, when asked if he’s ever enjoyed some man action, here’s how Tom Hardy answered:

“As a boy? Of course I have. I'm an actor for f-ck’s sake. I've played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality, but now that I'm in my thirties, it doesn't do it for me. I'm done experimenting but there's plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man, especially gay men, that I need in my life. A lot of gay men get my thing for shoes. I have definite feminine qualities and a lot of gay men are incredibly masculine. A lot of people say I seem masculine, but I don't feel it. I feel intrinsically feminine. I'd love to be one of the boys but I always felt a bit on the outside. Maybe my masculine qualities come from overcompensating because I'm not one of the boys.”

Please. I want some. How sexy is that? To be confident enough to admit an attraction to men, and to admit consummating that attraction as an acknowledgement that experimentation is normal and healthy and FUN.

Will it hurt him?

Hardy has just signed on to replace Sam Worthington in This Means War co-starring with Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine in an “action comedy” about two spies who fall in love with the same lady and go balls out against each other for her affections in New York City. And Tom is already into production (recently delayed for tech reasons) as the lead in the highly anticipated Mad Max: Fury Road. All this on top of the fact that he’s already impressed on the proper character acting side, yes, in Wuthering Heights, but also in the critically acclaimed Bronson; Hardy has demonstrated that he can disappear into roles, that what he can do can still overshadow who he is. That’s a good thing, non?
