This will be the last post of 2014. It was a very difficult decision because Mimi’s camel toe has every right to the final flourish but… since that toe is from 2012 and this is brand new, the new wins.
Tom Hardy covers EMPIRE. Two shots. He’s grim and sexy as f-ck in the first and kind of cartoonish in the second, which some people are complaining about but to me, this is kind of like how characters look in a video game, non? Whenever I see a commercial for Call Of Duty, this is what it looks like. And (I think?) that’s the point? Mad Max is supposed to be big business, at the movies and, I imagine, for gamers. The biggest money right now is in gaming. They’d be smart to be working on that.
So can we stop bitching about the second cover and focus on how hot he looks in the first? This is for EMPIRE’s February issue with George Miller speaking exclusively to the magazine about the film and the process. On the strength of its two trailers, particularly the most recent one (click here to revisit my post on it), Mad Max has become one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2015, due out just two weeks after The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
It feels already like it’s going to be a massive smash hit. Maybe not as big as Avengers but BIG. Really, really big. Like a next level for Tom Hardy. Lots and lots of Tom Hardy.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Be safe and be smart. Tom Hardy is waiting for you on the other side!
