It was a nice surprise to show up at the Palais today just as Aaron Johnson was heading to the Chatroom photo call. He’s lanky and tall and rumpled and cute, just as I expected. But there’s disappointment too. Because she wasn’t with him. Or at least I didn’t see her. It’s not proper protocol at a photo call to bring your pregnant fiancée if she has nothing to do with your movie. Not sure then if Sam Taylor –Wood made the trip. Hope so. Because seeing them live, you know, since I’m obsessed with them, would have been a personal highlight. It’s one thing to look at photographs, it’s entirely another to observe a couple’s chemistry in person. Remember, he’s 19 and she’s 43 and carrying his child. You’d want to watch too.
