This is Brad Pitt leaving Judd Apatow’s birthday party last night in LA. Brad and Judd have known each other for a long time – years ago, like 20 years ago, before Brad was in Se7en, along with Ben Stiller, they wanted to make a Rolling Stone movie together. So, clearly, they’ve remained close. Also James Franco’s performance and character, in part, in Pineapple Express, was based on Brad’s in True Romance.

Beck apparently performed at the event, which also tracks for me because Beck and Brad go back too and Brad’s music lane seems like it’s pure 90s.

Quiet year onscreen for Brad in 2021 but he was behind the camera a lot so we should see a lot of him in 2022 with Bullet Train, Babylon, and The Lost City of D coming out, which means he’ll have two movies with Sandra Bullock to promote. That could potentially be a really fun press tour between Sandra and Channing Tatum who are both pretty loose and game and adding Brad to that equation could be interesting, give us some interesting carpet moments.

In other Brad news, according to The Hollywood Reporter last week there’s a bidding war happening over an F1 movie starring Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton. I can see why everyone is interested. Joseph Kosinski will reportedly direct as he and Brad have been trying to get together on a racing film for years now.

Does that mean, do you think, that Brad is pulling for Lewis this weekend as we head into the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi? I’ll have more to say as we get closer to race day but for those of you who know what I’m talking about, those of us who’ve been drawn into this sport because of Drive to Survive, you couldn’t have scripted a crazier season, just at the right time, when the series has brought in so many new fans.
