They’re shaming Elizabeth Hurley for what she’s wearing in this photo which, I don’t understand, because it’s not like Liz has worn any other style of clothing in 20 years. But this is yet another example of one of Maria’s favourite pasttimes: celebrity birthday wishes – is it about the person with the birthday or is it about the person making the birthday wishes? Where Mimi is concerned, for example, even if it’s someone else’s birthday, she has to look better in the photo. And it’s not just celebrities who do this. Civilians on social media also make other people’s birthdays all about themselves. Otherwise, why include yourself in the photo? Throw up a shot of the person you’re wishing a happy birthday to, alone. (Dlisted)

I’m the kind of person who goes through coat binges – if I love a coat, I wear it every day, no matter the outfit. Right now I’m super into a bomber jacket I got at Uniqlo last year and it’s been my only coat for two weeks. And it’s not like I don’t have other coats. I do. They’re nice coats too. But it’s like being an emperor with a favourite wife. Amal Clooney isn’t like that. Amal’s given us a different coat every day. I love this yellow coat on her. And if I owned it, I’d probably wear it every day for a month, even if it didn’t go with the outfit. (Cele|bitchy)

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 10th anniversary was last week, April 4. I thought they would have commemorated it publicly but they haven’t, at least not yet, at least not that I’ve seen. I have a theory about why: that was also the 50th anniversary of the death Dr Martin Luther King Jr. It would have been disrespectful. I think I’m the only dumbass who came to that theory too late – another reason I’m not worthy of Beyoncé. Did you know that Beyoncé did not like her wedding dress? Miss Tina designed it. Miss Tina is also the one who revealed that Beyoncé wasn’t into it. (Pop Sugar)

I saw Blockers this weekend. Went with a friend and by the time it was over, we were exhausted. From all the laughing. I can’t wait to see it again. As Sarah wrote in her review, the kids in this movie are irresistible. Is it just me or does Gideon Adlon look like Alicia Vikander? Also… if you saw the movie, did you leave the theatre obsessed with Angelica, the sexiest, coolest nerd girl theatre geek? She is played by Ramona Young. And Ramona Young is awesome. (Pajiba)

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s security quarters – like where there bodyguards live on the property – is probably going to be nicer than my house. My question though: is this where Julius stays? Or does Julius get his own house, away from all the other bodyguards, as an added layer of security? (TMZ)

I used to watch a lot of WWE, when it was still called the WWF, at the height of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Sometimes I can’t believe that the people who were wrestling back then are still in the ring. I mean I know it’s more of a show than it is an actual match but their bodies do take a lot of punishment. Anyway, it’s been a long time since I’ve cared about WWE but this article about the WWE’s “Women’s Revolution” is making me think about thinking about reconsidering that position. (The Ringer)
