Amanda Seyfried: layering and producing
Let’s start with Amanda Seyfried’s outfit yesterday in Paris for the premiere of The Testament of Ann Lee and I’m so obsessed with how it’s all been layered. The crop jacket over the long flared shirt over cigarette pants is suuuuchhhh good styling, credit to Elizabeth Stewart.
Now let’s talk about a clip that’s going viral from when Amanda was on Graham Norton recently. She’s asked about the success of The Housemaid and her answers are so candid and hilarious, especially when she’s talking about being an executive producer – a fact she was only made aware of after filming started and, if you haven’t already, watch how she explains it.
I appreciate how she happily admits that it’s a vanity credit while giving credit to Margot Robbie who is not a vanity producer. And is also entertaining the audience, she’s good TV, which is why she was invited to be on the show in the first place. Doing all the jobs like this, by the way, is a form of producing.
There’s something else cracking me up in this clip though and it’s the juxtaposition – Amanda’s energy and whatever it is you want to call Jacob Elordi’s vibe. That’s one more load she’s carrying here, dialing it up to 15 to make up for his 5.
What else happened today…
I get yelled at a lot for not coming around to Jacob. Maybe it’s because I haven’t seen “Wuthering Heights” yet but if I’m the Jacob then here’s Kayleigh Donaldson playing the role of Amanda with her generous take on his abilities and talent. (Pajiba)
Cynthia Erivo in a sumptuous red leather trench, fitting for Dracula, and Florence Pugh came out to support. (Go Fug Yourself)
Valentine’s Day was four days ago but let’s continue basking in the joy of lesbians in love. (Autostraddle)
A lot of people are talking about Netflix’s America’s Top Model docuseries and hating on Tyra Banks. Taryn Finley addresses the Tyra issue, but also points out that criticising her isn’t exactly advancing any progress. (Refinery 29)
Jason and Kylie Kelce have been seen at various Olympic events and he was also given a bobsledding lesson and was properly terrified, can you blame him? The Winter Olympics are way more hardcore, these sports are bonkers. Everyone is either hurling themselves down a mountain or hurling themselves down an ice chute or skating around in circles with knives on their feet! (Celebitchy)
