We have reached early spring, which means the weather is sometimes nice, which means people are going outside. Over the weekend, new couple Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro were seen grocery shopping together—more important in my mind than red carpet official. There are couples who make a point of not doing red carpets together, but eventually you have to get groceries.

If you’re wondering, Monica Barbaro is 34, and Andrew Garfield is 41. She looks a lot younger than mid-thirties, which makes me wonder if anyone will get riled up about an age gap, but if they do their googling, they’ll see the gap is less than a decade and she’s well into her thirties. More importantly, let’s judge the toilet paper. Scott? What, are you restocking a gas station toilet? Look, grocery prices are up, I get it, but one thing I will NOT economize on is my tp. I have stopped using eggs, am clipping more coupons, and am buying more generic brands to keep my grocery bill in order, but you will pry my Charmin Ultra Soft out of my cold, dead hands.

Meanwhile, in New York, TNT had a dinner date at Del Frisco’s, after previously being seen in Park City, Utah. Taylor Swift is too famous not to get noticed when she goes outside, but she and Travis Kelce have been keeping a low profile since the Super Bowl. Travis announced he is not retiring, saying on his podcast, “I still feel like I can play at a high level, and possibly at a higher level than I did last year. I don’t think it was my best outing. I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them…”

I assumed if Kansas City did not win the Super Bowl he would not retire. Travis Kelce is too much of a competitor not to try and go out on top. If not with another ring, then with a better season than he had in 2024. I always worry about football players prolonging their careers because of the extreme toll the game takes on their bodies, but if he has more football in the tank, then godspeed to him. Besides, it’s a better story for us if he wins another Super Bowl and THEN he and Taylor proceed to the next step in their relationship. I am rooting for maximum fairy tale!

What else happened today…

Chrissy Tiegen’s podcast launched this weekend, because we don’t have enough celebrity podcasts. (Go Fug Yourself)

Justin Theroux got married, in case you’re keeping track. (Pajiba)

At first I was like, What is going on in the House of Versace? But then it just looks like Donatella made a bad business deal, compounded with Versace looking for new creative leadership amidst crashing sales. So, a little bit the forces of the industry, a little bit bad deal making. But will Ridley Scott make a whole movie about it? (Celebitchy)

Speaking of celebrity podcasts, Kirthana Ramisetti writes about the wide-ranging effect celebrity TV recap podcasts are having on not only the podcast industry, but the book industry, too. If celebrities withhold their stories to tell them on their own podcasts, journalists/critics can’t secure book deals, and without outsider perspective, the whole thing turns into a celebrity circle-jerk where no one is critically confronting the legacy of their show or any of its complicated issues. I get mad because celebrities are sucking up all the capital and reducing podcasting from a viable living for regular people to a side hustle, but Kirthana makes a great point that it’s also leading to worse, or even a lack of, criticism.
