What Else?

Between Sarah, Duana, and me, I was probably the one who was most supportive of Elle Fanning’s Golden Globes dress. They weren’t into the ball gown sameness of her choice. I like the animal print at the chest. And I guess that was a theme for her through the night because her party dress was animal print too. It’s not my favourite but I do like the little red bows on the straps. (Go Fug Yourself)

Well this was a journey! It involves a Jeopardy! contestant, fan reaction, a second chance, a tutorial and study session, and Taylor Swift. This man does not look old, young enough to have a lot of exposure to social media throughout his entire adulthood. So my takeaway is that there are some corners of the world, particular where millennials and gen z are concerned, who are not consumed with pop culture. (Pajiba)

Confession: I did not watch The Last of Us. I know, ok? You can yell at me but I know. Like, I work in the industry so I’ve read enough about it to know the story and its main themes and why it was so embraced but I can’t tell you scene by scene what goes down because at first I didn’t have the bandwidth or the mood to take on a show of that weight and then I got overwhelmed when everyone around me started to watch and, and, and…here we are. A new trailer for the second season has been released and we now know when it’s coming out so I guess I have a couple of months to get my sh-t together. Please yell at me to get my sh-t together. Conclave is a beautifully shot film. That umbrella scene is unreal. Do I think it’s a Best Picture? Many people do, I personally don’t. In my opinion, for my taste, it’s an outstanding airplane movie with big screen visuals. Some of the performances are terrific. Some of them, to me, are wayyyy over the top. Isabella Rossellini is insanely good. Overall, for me, the film is a solid B+. That’s probably why we don’t talk about it that much here. Megyn Kelly, however, is turning her hate for it into her whole personality this week. (Celebitchy)

When it was first announced that Jisoo was doing a zombie film I was bummed, because I love her but I don’t f-ck with zombie sh-t, that’s Sarah’s territory. But now the trailer is out and… it’s a comedy! Which is a new lane for Jisoo. So now I’m into this. Jisoo and the range! (Soompi)
