In Venice, like Cannes, there seems to be no limit to the overdress on the carpet. Toronto is a different story – it’ll be unlikely to see something so dramatic. On Anne Hathaway last night at the Rachel Getting Married gala premiere, I don’t know, I kinda liked it.

There’s something about her recent vulnerability I find extremely endearing. Is it wrong to warm to someone who’s suffering?
