Hated her obsequious princess dress at the Globes. Ugh. But this one is much better. Much more “Rachel” than “Mia Thermopolis”. Love.

Here’s Anne Hathaway last night at the National Board of Review awards last night in New York where she was named (previously announced) Best Actress which hopefully makes up for the sting of being ignored by the Orange BAFTAs.

But those big eyes are on a bigger prize. Oscar nominations happen a week today. The Academy won’t snub her. Hopefully though she’ll start eating again by the time she walks the carpet at the Kodak. This is wishful thinking since word is Anne mainlines coffee and cigarettes these days. But the more weight she loses, the more she looks like a squirrel.
