I feel like it could be SO awesome. And I am so exciting* for it I might have to punch myself in the face.
Here are Annette Bening and Kristen Wiig on the set of Imogene. Described as a “dark comedy”, Imogene features Kristen’s character as a writer who pretends to kill herself because she wants her boyfriend to get back together with her. Then she has to go live with her mother Annette who has a gambling problem. Family hijinks and hilarity ensue.

Look at Annette’s Sookie Stackhouse-ish costume! And HER HAIR!!!
You see that shot of Kristen coming down the stairs, and Annette, mom, trailing behind, with her mouth open, probably nagging something ridiculous? The expression on Kristen’s face as she’s rounding the corner to get into the car? THIS IS MY LIFE!!! Sort of.
(I may have gone overboard on the enthusiasm and exclamation points.)
*as a non-native English speaker, this is what my ma, the Chinese Squawking Chicken says when she really means “I am so excited”. Sometimes I don’t bother correcting her. Because the look on the face of whoever she’s talking to is too funny to miss.
