Are Love Island's Nicolandria the #1 couple of 2025's summer of romance timeline?

I don’t know what your algorithm looks like but mine is still a Love Island USA mess, fueled in part because Kathleen keeps sending Nicolandria edits to the group chat. The edits have become their own show as the internet continues to ship the couple that has emerged from season seven to be the undisputed most popular, even if they didn’t win.

Like, Natasha Rothwell namechecked it as part of her reaction to being nominated for an Emmy!

Back to those edits though – people are INVESTED. Someone actually put together a “movie” that’s over two hours long, LOL. And here’s someone who made a TikTok just to talk about watching that two-plus-hours movie.

They’re seeing them too, Nic actually posted about watching the edits and the two of them have been doing interviews and their own livestreams to provide more content for people to cut into new edits. Nicolandria has become an industry and, as a whole, this season’s cast, has been out there aggressively capitalising on the success and controversy of the show to build their post-island careers.

If summer 2025 is all about romance, Nicolandria – along with Megan Thee Stallion, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Alba, and Anna Kendrick – might just be the #1 couple of the timeline. Even if there are some people who aren’t quite buying that they’re legit.
