Boyd “hubba hubba” Holbrook
I was happy to see a request for Boyd Holbrook land in my inbox because it gives me a chance to retell the story of standing behind him in a long security line at the airport. And yes, he’s fine AF! I’d say even better than the photos (like Charlie Hunnam). A reader requested pants worn at The Bikeriders premiere. Agree, these are strong pants and it’s all down to the tailoring. Precise. Cropped enough that you can see his full shoe and high waisted with the shirt tucked in to show off the pleats. Pretty sure these are the Manny trousers from Rubinacci, an Italian brand that focuses on tailoring. They come in a bunch of different styles and at US$510, definitely an investment piece.
To keep this flavour with a little less of a spend, look for pleated taper trousers – there’s APC (on sale here), Alex Mill pleated chino, this line is really strong, great quality, and these by NN07 on sale at Mr. Porter.
The key to shopping online right now is to fight the algorithm. I skip past all the sponsored top posts and get down under the images because it will show you the same things, over and over. It’s not conducive to fruitful browsing. Find a way to “trick” the search (by switching up the order of words, asking for colours or specific retailers, or put a minus sign in front of brands you don’t want) and shopping gets better.

Blake’s White Tank Top
What do I always say? It’s the basics that are hard to find. In the last couple of weeks, Blake Lively has stepped out in two very busy looks, the floral Chanel suit and the Valentino floral jeans. No one is asking for the suit or the jeans but I have been asked about her white tank top. I debated this one because it’s a white ribbed tank – that’s nearly impossible to pin down without confirmation. I do think I’ve narrowed it down to three options, based on brands she has previously worn: Reformation’s Tasha Tank, Aritzia’s Sinch Rib Crew Tank, and the Anine Bing Eva Tank – this one might be a little too high in the neckline but it will sit different on every body.
Personally, I like an Artizia tank but also really love the three-pack of Hanes ribbed tank tops you can get pretty much anywhere (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Mark’s Work Warehouse). If a company has an inexpensive speciality, usually they are pretty good at it. The Hanes tanks wash down to a really lived-in soft look, less structured and “thick” (for lack of a better word). Easy breezy for summer.
Another Bombshell Enters the Villa
Got a request for a specific pair of sunglasses worn by Kaylor on Love Island USA. These are hectogon sunglasses and the good news is they’re pretty easy to find. Totally depends on your spend. The closest I have found are these from Amazon for $20. Ray-Ban also has a pair in its roster and if you want to go designer, these ones are by Botega.
