JLO: forget the wedding ring, take the jumpsuit

My very bad attempt at a Jennifer Lopez Godfather pun might not work but you know what does work? JLo’s outfit that Lainey highlighted here. It is, wait for it, a jumpsuit! Upon first look I was sure it was a pants/jacket combo but nope, it’s an R13 one piece. Even though her marriage and husband might be messy, JLo is never aesthetically messy. While it feels like we are watching a will-they-or-won’t-they Bennifer storyline play out, her continued family outings show how deep this goes for all of them. There’s a bunch of kids involved and no doubt, this is probably a really tough time for her. Not just the end of the second time around with someone she has loved very deeply and publicly, but the shift in the family dynamic. Maybe getting dressed gives her a little bit of joy.

Here is the actual jumpsuit, it’s nearly $2k but I fully expect Zara/H&M/Mango/ASOS to drop their versions soon.

Dua says, “Winona Forever”

Dua Lipa wore this Winona hat from IDEA book shop (it can be found here)  and what is cooler than a cap or tote from a bookshop? Pretty much nothing.

I was also asked about her boots in slide four – they are Montserrat Messeguer (as sourced by a fan account). These are a re-wear because why would you buy cowboy boots to wear them once? That seems sacrilegious.

Back to the hat for a second – IDEA also makes a DiCaprio hat. I wish I knew someone turning 26 this year, it is the perfect gift!

Veep’s Brat Summer

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has had a busy summer being a fictional Veep supporting a real veep so she’s been posting quite a bit, which of course led to the inevitable Brat lip sync. I was asked about her dress and necklace and my first guess was La DoubleJ and for the necklace, Jennifer Meyer. I was wrong on both points (what’s new).

This is the Elodie dress by A.L.C. and nearly sold out (but on sale with very limited sizing). The necklace is Irene Neuwirth but I can’t find the exact style – that line has a lot of turquoise, so there are other options. What makes JLD’s necklace stand out is the beads are very round, not the typical “candy” style necklaces. It looks like the one below, minus the pendant.

For a similar look that is a little less of an investment, this triple-layer necklace from Anthropologie does the trick.

Last minute Olivia Munn

I knew that my Olivia Munn mention from yesterday was going to yield a few requests and I was already looking for the pants for myself. Hers look like the Ginerva Cargo Pants from Revolve (on sale and going fast).

Right now, I’m deciding between those and the black Squad pants from Aritzia (which also come in green). Cargo fall is upon us.
