Lori Harvey: Undisputed It Girl

I got a request for Lori Harvey and I’m picturing Jacek in a fake moustache and glasses, sending it in so he has an excuse to search photos. Can we blame him????

The request actually came from a reader hoping to find this dress for her Vegas wedding and wow, I get it. It’s by Khyeli (found by a fan site). Even the YSL furry mules are just right, for this moment. The downside? The brand doesn’t have e-commerce yet but there is a contact email on the site and some high-end bridal stores carry the collection. Good luck!

Kiernan Shipka: Undercover It Girl?

Have we been sleeping on Kiernan Shipka’s style? I think so. I know there’s a lot of talk about who she may or may not be dating (for the record, I don’t think it’s John Mayer, but what do I know!) but I do find myself appreciating her pap photos for the fashion. And she is, weirdly, papped a lot?

But I had a request for her sunglasses here and she’s worn them before. These are the Linda Farrow “Connie” glasses. If you haven’t heard of this brand, that doesn’t mean you are out of the loop. These are pricey, very “fashion insider” glasses worn by people like Rihanna and Dua Lipa. And it’s an independent brand (which is incredibly rare for eyewear); it was launched in the 1970s, got really big with celebs, then went dormant for 20 years. Farrow’s son revived it with her archives. The glasses are really sophisticated and don’t have GUCCI or VERSACE on the side, which is probably what a lot of the clients love about it.

Ina Garten: Forever It Girl

You know what I love about Ina Garten? She works really hard but doesn’t try really hard. She is so successful in the amorphous content blob called “lifestyle” because she is commodifying her taste, not her audience’s taste. She doesn’t chase trends – no vitamin elixirs or TikTok recipes of Big Mac tacos. This kind of clear-headed decisiveness is comforting.

For this PEOPLE cover in anticipation of her new memoir, I was asked about the scarf. It is Hermes, which makes all kinds of sense. It’s rich but understated. The scarf prints change by season and Ina’s exact scarf is no longer available (but do note hers is cashmere, not silk). Hermes has some great prints right now and you can finally buy one online. Also, reseller sites tend to have a ton of scarves but some of these go up in value, so resellers are not necessarily cheaper, but they do provide access to some previous seasons.
