Rocky and Anna on Late Night

A$AP Rocky and Anna Wintour were on a Met Gala victory lap last night with a stop at Late Night with Seth Meyers where they recapped the event, weighed in on some of the looks, and shared other behind-the-scenes details. 

What’s most fascinating to me about the overall interview is watching their chemistry. Anna does most of the talking but only because Rocky seems kinda chill to hang back and interject when it makes the most impact. It doesn’t feel like he says less because he doesn’t want to overshadow her, though – if anything, at least on my read, she’s the one who’s actually deferential. I mean by now we all know Anna’s reputation, and yet here she is cajoling Rocky in conversation, touching his arm periodically to emphasise their connection, even kinda sorta bragging that Rocky was dropping hints over dinner the night before the Met Gala about Rihanna being pregnant. It’s as close as I’ve ever seen Anna Wintour come to flirting, like respectfully, but from where I’m sitting, it’s a bit flirty!

And how could you blame her? He is cute and sexy at the same time. It’s the whole package, but especially the smile. And the giggle. Rocky giggles a lot, and every time he does it I’m like, I love this for Rihanna because if these two are giggling together all the time, well, it’s no wonder they’re having all these babies. Here’s an example that’s gone viral over the last couple of days of how fun and funny they are together. 

Speaking of the babies, Seth asked Rocky about the name of their third child and whether or not the name will start with an “R” and Rocky did not hesitate to confirm that, yes, they will continue their family tradition.
