This is for Veronica who found this site in 2009 when she and her family moved from Chile to Vancouver. Thank you, Veronica, for spending time with us here. We hope we’ve provided information, entertainment, and also distraction. We hope we can continue to do this as you grieve the loss of your life partner. 

I’m so sorry to hear about Gonzalo. This is too short, too cruel – you and your children, Benjamin and Lucas, are in my thoughts. Your pain is unimaginable and yet it’s also evidence. Evidence of love. The hurt is there because the love was real. And the love never leaves, the grief is the mark that this love exists, in the past, in the present, and definitely in the future. He was here. He will remain. You and Benjamin and Lucas will see to that. 

In memory of Gonzalo, may his curiosity and passion and generosity live on in those who loved him the most.
