OHHHH I LOOOOOVE THIS. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is bringing the drama with this look to promote The Nickel Boys. The first look – all black with shoulders that reach almost to the top of her head – is the showstopper but the other outfits are also wonderfully extra. You’ll recall, last year Aunjanue campaigned hard for Ava DuVernay’s Origin which was disappointingly not part of award season. Hopefully with The Nickel Boys we’ll see a different outcome. For the quality of the film and also for the quality of her wardrobe! (Go Fug Yourself)

Did you watch the season four premiere of Abbott Elementary? When Ava said “let me go get my proton pack”, I lost my mind. Yes, Abbott is back! And as Kaleena Rivera writes, the quality is still there, the show is not slowing down. It’s as funny as it’s ever been. And one of the reasons I’m watching more network television than I have in years. (Pajiba)

JD Vance is still hating on women who don’t want children and now he’s sharing this thoughts on how “anti-child” America is. Something something about how people hate when kids are on airplanes. Is America actually anti-child, though? Or… you know… is America anti-woman? He certainly seems to be. (The Mary Sue)

Over the weekend people online were talking about a video of Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman from Paris Fashion Week and the video assumption, no doubt, suggests there’s mess but that’s why photo and video assumption, while fun, is not a reliable source of good gossip. There is no way these two would beef in front of a wall of cameras and people with smart phones at a fashion show, seriously?! (Celebitchy)

The Cut’s Chantal Fernandez’s latest piece is on bras and whether or not we love them. I own something like 15 bras, four of those 15 are the exact same brand, style, size. And all of 15 are sports bras or bralettes. It’s been over a decade since I’ve worn a bra with a clasp. I don’t love all of them, because the super support bras do the job but are a bitch to take off – seriously, I feel like I dislocate my shoulder every single time – but I’ve long given up having the expectation that I will love all my bras. And you? (The Cut)
