Big Hit Music’s newest group, CORTIS, gets an assist from their label mates, BTS, in hyping up their new music

BTS’s ARMY has been eating so well since all the members completed their military service. Today is no exception and if you’re not already plugged into the action, this is your heads up for social media because it’s already been popping off for hours and is about to get even louder.

Jung Kook posted on TikTok for the first time in almost two years today and it was a dance challenge. This is JK hyping up CORTIS’s new single “FaSHioN”:

CORTIS is Big Hit Music’s newest group, with their debut EP Color Outside the Lines dropping recently on September 8 and immediately ranking at #15 on the Billboard 200, “the highest-ever entry for a debut K-pop group album”, making them the hottest K-pop launch in years. Obviously the assist from their label mates, BTS, hasn’t hurt. J-hope posted a video of himself dancing to their pre-release single “GO!” a few weeks ago and now it’s Jung Kook with the TikTok comeback.

CORTIS’s momentum has been impressive and it’s not just hype. They busted out of the gate with a clear group identity and all of them are involved in songwriting, production, choreography, and video direction as several members already have experience producing other artists. Also, Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, Keonho … are GORGEOUS and swaggy.

“GO!” has been in heavy rotation for weeks across socials for weeks but this, really, is just the beginning. Will be interesting to see over the next six months how they build on what’s been a super successful premiere.

Back to BTS though and the other member who’ll be lighting up your feeds today. It’s Jonathan Anderson’s womenswear debut for Dior at Paris Fashion Week. Jimin will do for Dior what JK, Jin, and RM did for Calvin Klein, Gucci, and Bottega Veneta in New York and Milan at those fashion weeks in December. People lost their sh-t over his arrival today. It didn’t help that he wasn’t wearing a shirt.
