Rihanna was 100% the main event at the Smurfs premiere last night, as she always is, and she never needs help in that department but her co-stars made what would have already been a noteworthy appearance that much more notable because, of course, they were her sons, RZA and Riot, who were dressed to coordinate with their mother, but not so matchy matchy that it was twee.

As if Rihanna would ever.

Was RZA more excited to see Papa Smurf or Smurfette? 👀 Our favourite trio, Rihanna and her sons RZA and Riot, brought the adorable factor at the L.A. premiere of ‘Smurfs’. 🍿 #Rihanna #Smurfs #RedCarpet #RZA #Riot

The kids were in olive green, cream, and pink. She was in brown, with an olive green sash (Saint Laurent) – it’s all pulled together beautifully, because of course, Rihanna doesn’t get it wrong when it comes to style.

Even though it must have been a challenge to make this happen because those babies are still babies – unruly in the best way. And clearly very into Smurfs.

Rihanna's boys are a handful, especially when she's getting them ready for premieres! 🤣 #rihanna #smurfs #smurfette

As a member of the media though, my biggest takeaway is Rihanna’s commitment to her job. Because as we have seen, for a celebrity of her status (and Rihanna is at the highest level), the way she promotes and engages is almost singular; she is probably the most accessible of the superstar cohort. Even when she’s in her third trimester, and it’s hot out, and she’s probably not all that comfortable, and her two young children are with her – she had every excuse not to do the press line but didn’t cash in on it. I respect it!
