Jonathan Bailey’s victory lap
Italian fashion designer Brunello Cucinelli has a documentary about his life coming out called Brunello, Il Visionario Garbato (you can see the trailer in Italian here), and I bring this up solely because Jonathan Bailey showed up to the premiere looking like this:

This makes me wish we could go back in time and let Bailey play Paolo Gucci in House of Gucci, rather than Jared Leto. That, or make Jonathan Bailey the next James Bond. Time travel or Bond, take your pick.
This is a victory lap for Bailey, who has had a helluva year. He’s a box office king with two blockbusters under his belt, he did Shakespeare in the West End, he’s the Sexiest Man Alive and he’s featured in Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue—proving to Glen Powell you can, in fact, do both—and he’ll be back in the new year with Bridgerton season four. Of course, he won’t have a main role, but still, keeping his face on a hit show is not the worst idea.
The Cucinelli doc brought out some other notable names, though, such as Jessica Chastain, who showed up with Edgar Ramirez. They look like a wealthy executive couple at a black-tie Christmas party.

There was a mini Wicked reunion as Jeff Goldblum showed up with his wife, Emilie Livingston; Ava DuVernay was there, too, as was Kyle Machlaclan in a tux very similar to Bailey’s. And, finally, Chris Pine emerged. He’s the best Chris in no small part because we do not see too much of him. He lets us miss him, and then he pops up looking like an entire snack.

I’m not sure I really like the overcoat/tux combination, but I think I don’t care because he looks SO GOOD. May Jonathan Bailey and Best Chris bless your Friday.
