Earlier this week Page Six reported that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk’s relationship was “hanging by a thread”, doubling down on their story from October 2018 when an observer told the publication that Coop and Irina seemed miserable together when they were out for dinner. This time, they weren’t building their exclusive off of body language or even Photo Assumption from pap shots (which is oftentimes how rumours get started). The two have been papped together, they haven’t been spending time apart, but someone’s telling Page Six that Bradley and Irina are unhappy, that they’ve been trying to make it work but may be seriously considering a split.
Since then, other outlets have piled on. According to Us Weekly, Coop and Irina “haven’t been getting along for a while”; they’re still together but “they’re not in a great place”. And E! is chiming in too:
"Things get a little bit better but then they find themselves back in the same place of questioning whether being a couple is what's best," a source tells E! News. "They want to stay together for their daughter, but neither of them are very happy."
"They've spent time apart to test the waters and see if they are better off," the insider continues. "They have a lot invested and it's very difficult to completely walk away from. They are trying out different arrangements and trying to find their way. They love their little girl dearly and that's not going to change no matter what."
According to the source, "They have a lot of history and their precious daughter keeping them together for now."
This is not unusual where celebrities are concerned. Whatever issues you have in your personal life take a backseat to the Oscars. When it’s Oscar time, Oscar is the priority, especially when you are considered the frontrunner. See also Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe. They announced their separation in October 2006, six months after she won her Oscar.
Is this what Coop and Irina are building to? Like, are these stories being placed to lay the groundwork, to warm people up to the idea of it, before the official confirmation? Or is all of this just bullsh-t? By the end of 2019, will Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk still be together?
