BTS’s leader, RM, announced a couple of weeks ago the release of a new album Right Place, Wrong Person. On Friday he’s dropping a new single, “Come Back To Me” and the art work for the track, revealed yesterday, is especially beautiful.
These are made to look like movie posters so the idea here being that RM is the lead in his own film about his song. However please also take note of the credits.
RM is credited by his given name, Kim Namjoon. Presumably, then, he’s presenting himself to us in “Come Back To Me” as an actor. Also…
“Directed by Lee Sung Jin”, who basically just swept award season winning multiple honours, including the Emmys for Outstanding Limited Series and Best Director and Best Writer for his series Beef, one of the most acclaimed shows of 2023. Lee Sung Jin directed cast members Ali Wong and Steven Yeun to their Emmy and SAG wins. And Joseph Lee, who played George (Amy’s husband) in Beef, is also listed in the credits.
But there’s also the co-star, the actor given equal billing to Kim Namjoon on the post is Kim Minha. You would know her from Pachinko.
It’s RM in his prestige TV era, we love to see it. And we LOOOOOOVE to see it during Asian Heritage Month!
