DJ Khaled’s new album, Khaled Khaled, just dropped today which is why it’s been a conversation on social media. Seems like everyone is on this album, from Jay-Z and Nas to Drake to new Oscar-winner H.E.R. to Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby and Da Baby, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake – like I said, it feels like everyone…even the Queen, Beyoncé who is credited as “Harmonies by the Hive” on “Sorry Not Sorry” and you can hear her distinctive “heyyyyy” on Jay’s verse. 

 

And then there’s Cardi B. Whose involvement was confirmed in the most extra way possible by Khaled. Which is kinda like saying the rain is wet because when isn’t Khaled extra? This video made me laugh though – it’s from yesterday:

Are they exaggerating? Not according to Cardi who, this morning, tweeted then deleted about how she turned in her verse on Thursday. Not sure why she removed it but it may have to do with the audio track she included with the post. But there’s also this: 

 

Whatever the truth is, Cardi’s “buzzer beater” added even more hype to an already mega-hyped situation. And while I haven’t yet made it all the way through the album, I did hit play on “Big Paper” first for Cardi and it will definitely be on repeat this weekend when I need to get pumped.
