Intro for October 30, 2025
Dear Gossips,
According to the ratings report, an average of 14% of Canadians watched Game 3 of the World Series when the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays went 18 innings. For so many of us in Canada right now, supporting the Jays is a full-time job, LOL. The ratings are also huge in Japan, where an average of 10 million viewers are tuning in to watch the God of Baseball, Shohei Ohtani.
Outside of Canada and Japan, though, where I know you have so much else going on… and even in the United States, with so many sports franchises and different allegiances… you probably don’t care as much, so all this World Series coverage on this site might not be as compelling. The bonus of the World Series involving LA though is the celebrity attendance. And there was a little gossip last night in the stands.
Leonardo DiCaprio was there, arriving with Vittoria Ceretti.

The cutaway of him during the game resulted in many people on socials comparing him to Jack Nicholson.

At one point he threw up the L-A. I find this deeply unattractive but your mileage may vary.

And then a possible new couple alert? Dakota Fanning and Emile Hirsch – when was the last time we talked about Emile Hirsch?! – went to the game together and left together, and while they’ve known each other a long time… is this… more than friendship?
The World Series now shifts to Toronto for games six and seven (if necessary). There presumably will be fewer celebrities in the crowd. I’m still holding out hope for a Justin Bieber appearance. If Celine Dion shows up I don’t think I’ll ever recover.
Yours in gossip,
Lainey
