Katy Perry has gone viral for some… dance moves. Her tour has just kicked off and it’s already starting, the memes and jokes. It’s painful to watch because it’s just so low-effort and janky – there is no way Katy Perry is in the rehearsal studio, sweating it out for 12 hours a day to prepare. (Note from Emily: LOLLLLLL)

But maybe the work ethic we see from Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift is too high of a bar; they are one-name artists who leave everything on the stage. If she doesn’t want to put in stadium-tour effort at this point in her career, I get that. But why do stadiums? Put Katy Perry in mid-size theatres and she would do well. She has the radio playlist. $150 tickets and a few backup dancers is a fun night out. $400 tickets in a 30,000 seat stadium is a stretch.

The follow up story with Katy is “sluggish ticket sales” but I don’t think she is the only one who will see that this summer. Concert tickets are too expensive and the global economy is a mess.

Several cities still have Beyoncé tickets available but this will probably change as soon as she kicks off on Monday (!!!) and goes viral for the exact opposite reason that Katy is going viral. Once everyone sees the choreo and the outfits, the tickets will move.

I know people are up in arms about potential The Bodyguard casting but I’m going to keep quiet (for once) because when Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga were announced for A Star Is Born, did you think it would be that good? (David Beckham voice) Be honest! I did not, until the trailer dropped. Then I was all in.

Zac Posen is once again taking his work with Gap to the red carpet, this time for Demi Moore and in collaboration with Kim Jones and her longtime stylist Brad Goreski. The frustrating part of Zac’s work at Gap is that you have to seek it out a bit – they finally got a Studio tab on the main page. I think a lot of these pieces will sell out if people can find them.

OK you know when Tina Fey said she doesn’t like rich people having side hustles and we debated exactly what that means? I think you know it when we see it. It looks like this.
